The place for Mums of Coffs Harbour to connect and build community
Hi, I’m Cath, a wife to Scott and mum of two daughters – Lily and Layla. In October 2017 we moved to Coffs Harbour from the southern suburbs of Sydney. As we think the Coffs Coast is a great place to raise our family.
My husband grew up here in Sawtell so it is like coming home for him. But for me, it is a big change moving on from the place where I have spent my first 34 years on the planet.
Being a mum is great but it can also be quite isolating. So in November 2017, I started the Mums of Coffs Harbour Facebook Group so that I could build a local community, keep people in the know and most importantly support each other.
Since then I learnt from the members of the group that over half of them have moved to the area as well, having not grown up here. Like me, they had been craving that connection with like-minded mums. Mums have already created their own meetups and we are planning to add mummy meet ups throughout the year too.
Everything you need as a mum on the Coffs Coast
This website has been creating to keep local mums in the loop about whats happening in our region, from events, local services, the best places to play and everything in between, as we embark on our motherhood journey.
When we first moved I found myself searching for childcare options, an area to live, conveyancers, doctors, swim schools and much more and it has been hard to find the answers to what people recommend first hand.
In the area I moved from in Sydney there was a community just like this where mums can lean on each other for support and advice, so I am hoping to build our very own online village right here in Coffs.
This community is about more than just activities to do with your kids, it is about supporting each other through the maze of motherhood.
